This year’s annual fall comedy, Cash on Delivery, will take the stage on November 16 and 17. This upcoming production offers a humorous story in which a man struggles to keep up with his complex lie that has allowed him to dupe certain authorities.
Auditions for the show took place early on in September, shortly after school started. “Auditions were the second week of school, and they consisted of every guy reading for a guy character and every girl character reading for a girl character,” said Samuel Tropea. “After that, people would get called back to read for a chosen character or more.”

The play has a small cast of only ten students, with many of them returning from last year’s show FOOLS. “After I did the Comedy and Musical last year, I knew I had to audition for the Fall Comedy this year,” said Camryn Burniston, who plays the main character in Cash on Delivery. “We have all become sort of a family, and it is just a very fun environment.

Other students, like Landon Moscariello, will participate in a comedy for the first time this fall. “After not taking the chance on auditioning for FOOLS, I realized just how much fun I was missing out on,” stated Moscariello. “So, this year, I took that chance.”
The cast of Cash on Delivery portrays a wide variety of comedic characters. “I play Dr. Forbright, an undertaker who’s supposed to take care of the dead bodies in the show,” expressed cast member Matthew Wrate. “The only issue is they’re not dead, and he doesn’t have a clue.”
Alexandra Nardone, a returning member of last year’s comedy production, also plays an interesting character in Cash on Delivery, “I play Linda, who is the wife of the man who is defrauding the DSS. She has no clue what is going on and thinks her husband’s secret is something very different,” stated Nardone.

With such unique characters to portray- the cast is working hard to make the show perfect. “We are preparing by memorizing all our lines and mapping out how each scene will go,” said Tropea.
Like Tropea, members of the Cash on Delivery cast participate in hours of rehearsals and practice after school each week. Many continue prepping for the show in their own ways. “Well, to prepare for the show, the cast has been rehearsing a lot after school,” commented Burniston. “But, when I’m not rehearsing, I’m usually preparing by going over and memorizing my lines.”

Moscariello noted, that viewers should expect the comedy to be “a great time full of jokes, raunchy humor, and uncanny comedic timing.” Students can purchase tickets from any of the cast members or buy them in room 601 for $10 each for both the Thursday and Friday night shows.
