The French Honors Society hosted their Fête de Crêpe on November 19. The event featured a variety of different crepes and raised money for an annual scholarship awarded to a senior at the end of the year.
Students who attended enjoyed the crêpes, thin, pancake-like pastries. “The crêpe event was a fun afternoon, bringing students together while introducing us to French culture,” said Amisha Desilva.

“Everyone was there to enjoy themselves and the delicious crêpes,” Desilva added. Crêpes can have different types of fillings, and the varieties at the event included whipped cream, Nutella, strawberries, and bananas.

In addition to the sweet treats, the event featured engaging activities. “There was entertainment like games, spike ball, and music,” shared Desilva
This event helped contribute to the money going into the scholarship fund. “We brought Fête de Crêpe back this year because we wanted to host a fun event for others to enjoy and raise money for senior scholarships,” Maria Petrova shared.
Seniors in French Honors Society work hard to meet the requirements for the scholarship. “Seniors in the French honor society participate in events; they can apply to receive a scholarship based off the effort they put into the French honor society!” said Petrova.

Senior members of French Honor’s Society speak highly of it. “Being a part of the French Honors Society has provided me with so many wonderful opportunities and memories,” said Darriyah Jackson. The French Honor Society immerses members in the culture.
Students can expect more events like Fete de Crepe from the French Honors Society to help build a better scholarship for a current senior. On December 12, FHS will host their Bûche de Nöel event.
