The Drama department will present the musical, Meredith Wilson’s The Music Man on March 21, March 22, and March 23. The production features 45 cast members, with students from all grade levels coming together.
The comedy-filled production follows con artist Harold Hill, played by Camryn Burniston, in a small Iowa town in the 1910s. “The Music Man is a classic and fun tale that everyone will enjoy when they see it, so bring all your friends and family and come support the musical!” exclaimed Camryn Burniston.

“I am excited to perform such an iconic show!” stated Meghan Valanzola. “The songs are phenomenal, the dancing is captivating, and the entire cast has been working incredibly hard to make this show as amazing as we know it is.” Megan plays the librarian and piano teacher, Marian Paroo, who dives deeper into discovering Harold’s lies.

The cast has rehearsed scenes, songs and choreography since early December. “The rehearsal process has been so much fun and a very rewarding experience! It is so nice to see how much hard work everyone is putting into the show!” voiced senior Emily Stein.
The 15 seniors in the cast will see their participation in this year’s spring musical mark the end of their high school acting careers. “I feel sad but also excited and happy to be performing with all the great friends I’ve made for one last time,” stated senior Megan Borsilli. “I am going to miss getting to make friends and learn new things during the process.”

While losing seniors always impacts the program, the drama department continues to expand and attract talented and upcoming individuals. “I would recommend coming to see this year’s musical, The Music Man, because the cast and crew worked really hard on putting this show together,” expressed Isabella Monaco, a freshman who plays Winthrop Paroo. “We’ve become a big family and we really like working together and I think that we’ve created something really special.”

All three shows will take place at 7pm. “I am most excited for the actual show days because we can finally show people what we’ve been working on for the past three months and it is going to be so much fun.” Students can purchase tickets at the door for $10, and other community members can attend for $12.
