The Student Senate hosted Knights Out, an event where students and faculty gathered together for a night full of fun, on February 7. Around 300 students attended to enjoy the numerous activities and attractions offered.

Students participated in various games, such as the mechanical bull, gaga pit, basketball, and mini golf. “I went to Knights Out last year, and it was so fun,” stated junior Jayden Junaid. “All my friends went, and I was excited to do the different activities, like laser tag and karaoke.”

Tom Durin’s comedy show allowed students to sit back, relax and enjoy some hilarious jokes. “My favorite part was the comedian guy act! He was great, and I loved how he interacted with his audience,” said Student Senate Treasurer Jolie Vasfailo.

Music by DJ Torok and the band Stronghold kept the night exciting. “I also liked Stronghold,” shared sophomore Krysten Cotangco. “They were playing really good songs that I already loved – plus I got to sing with them.”

Stronghold, a student band that also performed at last year’s Knight Out, captivated many attendees with their renditions of well-known songs and their own music. “This year, we decided to come back to Knights Out stronger and better all together,” explained sophomore Sandro Quinones, Stronghold’s lead-singer and guitarist. “I’m very happy we decided to perform this year, and I hope to perform for my remaining years of high school!”

The event provided many food options, including pizza, chips, popcorn, and other snacks. “It was so good! I loved the variety, especially the pretzels,” said Cotangco.

The Student Senate saw Knight Out as an overall success, with students and faculty alike having a great time. “Each member of Senate sacrificed their own personal time to add onto the event, which is what made it a great success,” stated Class President Joseph Lanzafama.
