Ending off last season with an 11- 4 record, Boys golf ranked third in the blue division last season and started their 2025 season with five consecutive wins.

The team reflected on some achievements from the season. “The highlight was our winning streak and amazing scores. Also, getting a bye week in the GMCs.” said Jake Babst. As the eighth seed, the team earned a bye week in the first round of GMCs. This allowed them to rest up and prepare for their bid in the next round.

Several players who qualified for the Group IV South Sectional Qualifier stepped up to the tee box and did their best. In the second round, they won against Edison by one stroke with a score of 177-178, qualifying them for finals.

The season brought a new accomplishment for the team. Having never qualified for the GMC tournament as a team, the boys qualified together. This great accomplishment opened their opportunities to challenge the hardest teams in the county. “Being with the guys I’ve played with the last 3 years and seeing us finally have a winning season is a very wholesome feeling,” said Daniel Schlager. “It feels fantastic and rewarding.”

Unlike many of the past seasons, this year’s golf team stood out. The boys worked hard to kick off their season to a great start and bring it to a positive end. “The key to the team’s success is being confident in ourselves and focusing on the positives on the course,” said Daniel Ferraro, who shot a 46 in the GMCs.
