On September 30, Old Bridge High held a college fair organized by Grace Patella of the Guidance Department. The college fair allowed students to learn about schools and ask questions about various programs. Students got to compare a wide variety of colleges, universities, and other post-graduate options.
Every student had the chance to learn about colleges they might pursue in the future. “The selection of colleges that were represented at the college fair was extremely impressive, with a wide range of options from colleges to universities to specialized trade schools,” said Paulina Lewczuk. “It was helpful to have such a wide array in our school cafeteria.”

The college fair provides the opportunity to ask specific questions directly to college representatives, which gives a more accurate view of the school than just looking at a website. “The college fair convinced me to further look into the school visits and presentations that colleges do,” said Lily D’Antuono.

This year, 86 different colleges and representatives attended the college fair. “I go to the college fair every year,” said D’Antuono. “I think it is a great way to get insight to what colleges are doing and compare them to each other. It gives you a wide range of programs so that you can compare many schools in a quick amount of time.”
The fair offered more than college options, including trade schools, SAT prep programs, and even the military. “There is a wide range of colleges showcased for every degree and academic level. There are even trade schools and military stores shown there,” said D’Antuono

Hosting this event helped students realize what they may accomplish in the future and all the options available. “It showed me many new opportunities and paths that I didn’t even know I had,” said Gabriel Todaro. “It showed me many things that I could do in the future that I didn’t even think of until then.”
