On February 13, over 250 students and faculty gathered for an energetic and highly anticipated night of fun at Knights Out, hosted by the Student Senate. The event featured a wide variety of activities, including laser tag, crafts, inflatable Twister, karaoke, and plenty of food, making it an engaging experience for everyone who attended.
The success of the evening resulted from the Student Senate’s hard work behind the scenes and their dedication to making the event memorable for everyone. “Board members arrived at school at 4pm and we worked as a team setting up all the fun events,” said Class President Jordan Rosenthal. “We worked with the teachers, and it was a fun process getting everything up.”

The TV Studio transformed into a lively stage for karaoke, where students could sing their favorite songs with friends. “I thought it was really nice to see the students dancing together and singing together in front of strangers,” said Jordyn Palmer. “It’s better to just let loose.”

DJ Torok played music throughout the night, alternating sets with the student band Stronghold, who returned for their third year at Knights Out. “I enjoyed the live performance by the band because the music was really good,” said Liam Chung.
Students enjoyed the wide selection of snacks and food, which provided them with the energy they needed for all of the fun activities. “There was pizza, snacks like pretzels, popcorn, chips,” said Vanessa Machado. “Pizza is one of my favorite foods.”
In the auditorium, Tom the Magician performed a series of shocking and entertaining tricks that amazed the audience. “The magic was interesting and also pretty comedic,” said senior Neo Mohapeloa. “The card guessing with the whole card deck shown was funny and clever.”

Laser tag brought out everyone’s competitive side in the back gym, creating a tense atmosphere as teams relied on strategy and teamwork to compete. “It was an awesome experience with your friends where you could run around and use your laser gun to score your team points.” said freshman Mason Chang.
The event’s third year marked another successful night due to its large student turnout and sociable, lively atmosphere. “I loved watching everyone’s reactions and genuine excitement throughout the event,” said Raphael Capangpangan, Student Senate Freshman liaison. “Without the excitement of the school we wouldn’t be able to host such a great event like this.”
Beyond the activities themselves, the overall atmosphere truly stood out to attendees and left a lasting impression. “I would attend next year because it had great vibes.” freshman Jayden Yu.
