On December 1, Dr. Vincent Sasso will become the superintendent of Old Bridge Township Public Schools after serving as principal of OBHS since 2013.

OBHS hosts college fair
On September 30, Old Bridge High held a college fair organized by Grace Patella of the Guidance Department. The college fair allowed students to learn about schools and ask questions about various programs.


Return of late buses
Last school year, the Board of Education removed all late buses for after-school activities due to budget issues. Starting in October, the 4pm late bus will run every Wednesday.
Knights hold drive to save lives
On May 5, the high school’s American Red Cross Club hosted its annual blood drive with the national American Red Cross organization.


Freshmen get a taste of France at Maloney’s
On April 30, several freshmen French classes attended a field trip to the Maloney’s restaurant on Main Street in Matawan.
Proposed New Jersey bill bans cell phones in schools
In January, New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy proposed a bill that would ban cell phone use in K-12 classrooms for non-educational uses at a minimum.


Picking the perfect college
As each new school year begins, many Old Bridge seniors start their college applications. After looking into schools and waiting for results, students finally pick where they’ll go.
Farewell, Mr. Cittadino
Mr. David Cittadino has resigned, effective August 15, 2025, from the Superintendent position after 11 years of service. Sam Prado Roberts interviewed Mr. Cittadino, looking back on his time in Old Bridge.


MAPS Champs take on the (WGI) World
The Indoor Percussion ensemble won the Mid Atlantic Percussion Society (MAPS) Finals on April 5. The Knights currently rank 5th in the country.
Elementary Ambassadors explore the world
On February 19, Old Bridge High School welcomed Character Ambassadors from each elementary school to an event to teach young students about many cultures.


New look, same spirit
This fall, the school store moved across the hall to a huge room with much more space for the students’ creativity to shine. The students running the store have updated their concepts of design and creativity.
Outstanding musicians earn opportunities
On November 24, five students, including Stephen Franzese, Andrew Houlgin, Christian Deserto, Sophia Pavon, and Mary Fields participated in a performance with the TCNJ Honors Wind Ensemble and Honors Jazz band.


PEER brings smiles with annual Toys for Tots drive
Each year, OBHS organizes a Toys for Tots drive sponsored by the Marine Corps, including a toy collection, Santa Con, and promotional videos made by PEER classes.
Connolly brings Morgan’s Message to OBHS
Morgan’s Message, a universal nonprofit organization, shines light on student athlete focused mental health awareness. Sophomore Reagan Connolly became an ambassador and got Old Bridge involved. On October 15, the field hockey team played in honor of Morgan Rodgers.
