The French Honor Society hosted the La Fête des Crêpe event on April 28 in the courtyard. The event featured crepes made by the FHS using a variety of ingredients such as chocolate syrup, strawberries, whip cream, etc. The students enjoyed their crepes while spending time with friends.
Before the event, the FHS calculated the number of materials they needed. “Preparing for the event, we needed to make sure that we had enough ticket sales and ingredients for the event to run smoothly,” said Ava Sophia Gross.

Leading up to the event, FHS students kept an eye on the weather forecast. “We watched the weather to ensure that we would be able to host the event in the courtyard,” said Gross.

Planning the event proved to hold its challenges, like the unexpectedly high demand for crepes. “Many of the toppings were already precut, but we brought fresh fruits as well that we cut to keep up with the demands as we had a very long line of students. Our FHS members and board collaborated to bring the crepes, batter, and toppings, and we wouldn’t have been able to succeed if our members, new and old, didn’t contribute,” said Anfel Benbader.
Members of the FHS and attendees enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and conversation. “I think my favorite part of the event was seeing everyone talk to their friends and enjoy the crepes together because I liked seeing how the food brought people together,” said Alyssa Bumbico.

The event provided a good time despite a few unexpected factors. “I think it went well, even with the hiccup of having more people than we anticipated. People seemed to enjoy the food and drinks, enjoying it with their friends,” said Kamila Rustamova.
The FHS hosted La Fête des Crêpe for the enjoyment of the students, but it also as provided student aid for seniors. “We were happy to serve everyone that went! It is a great fundraiser for senior scholarships,” said Gross.
