The boys wrestling team finished second in the GMC Red Division and reached the NJSIAA CJGV Finals, and some individuals made it to the NJSIAA Sectionals.

Volleyball wins State Championship
The 32-1 girls volleyball team won the NJSIAA Group IV Tournament for the first time in school history. The Knights beat Westfield 3-2 in the tournament finals.


Soccer streaks to success
The boys soccer season ended with a 14-6-2 record, including a 12-game undefeated streak lasting over a month. The boys made it to the NJSIAA CJ Group IV Semifinal game with many impressive wins along the way.
Crossing the finish
The boys cross-country team competed at NJSIAA Sectionals where Daniel McFarland and Ronald Ciaccia qualified for the Group IV State Championship. The boys and girls raced well in the GMCs, with the boys placing seventh and the girls placing fifth.


Champion volleyball team blocks to the top
The 32-1 girls volleyball team secured a win in the NJSIAA CJG4 Finals to set up a rematch with Williamstown, the team that knocked them out of the NJSIAA Tournament last year.
Tennis serves wins in Red Division
After moving up to the GMC Red Division this year, the girls tennis team earned a record of 10-8.


Field hockey hits milestones
The field hockey team has rolled to a 17-4 record and many other accomplishments, including making it to the GMC Tournament Finals, finishing first in the Red Division, and setting school records.
Girls soccer wins GMCs
On Friday, October 31, the girls soccer team won the GMC tournament for the first time in school history. After two overtimes, the team secured the win with a shoot-out.


Success in GMCs leads to Sectionals
The gymnastics team placed third overall in the GMC Championship with a total score of 102.175. The season resulted in a multitude of personal highlights and a 4-4-1 record.
Girls soccer beats biggest rivals
The girls soccer team has a strong record of 12-2-1and 6-0-1 in the Red Division. They have found success against two of their toughest opponents, East Brunswick and Monroe.


Knights run up the score
Knights football started the season 4-1 while outscoring their opponents 163 to 48. The players already have some huge wins under their belt, such as Cedar Creek and South Brunswick.

With three straight wins to start the season, girls tennis team quickly proved themselves in the GMC Red Division after moving up from the White Division.

After a rocky start, the team found its rhythm and closed the season on a dominant 9-2 run, fueled by an 8-game winning streak that carried them to a 15-11 overall record.
Knights beat Bears in GMC’s
The girls basketball team finished their challenging season with a record of 11-15. Despite the struggles of the season, the team managed significant highlights, including an upset win over rival East Brunswick in the GMC Tournament.


Three Knights slam State competition
Zach Florio, Sofia Sousa, and Gavin Young all qualified for and participated in the NJSIAA State Wrestling Tournament .
Slicing through the ice
The OBHS Ice Hockey team finished strong with a 14-9-2 record, their best in ten years. The team also reached the final round of the competitive Kolodney Cup Tournament.


Racing through the winter chill
With temperatures down to single digits, the winter track team still came through and accomplished many goals. For example, Danielle Boateng set a new school record, and many athletes ranked high in GMCs.
Young bowling teams set high marks
In a rebuilding year after graduating nine players from the girls team and three from the boys team, the bowlers finished the season with numerous players setting new personal records.


Sibling swimmers break records
In a tough season for the boys and girls swim teams, Madelyn and Tyler Hopkins made history with their record-breaking performances.
Girls Wrestling takes 4th in GMCs
The girls’ wrestling team has a strong 7-5 record. The team finished 4th in the GMC Tournament, and, after recently defeating North Brunswick, earned the #10 rank in the State.


Knights shoot to top of Red Division
The 11-5 boys wrestling team finished second in the GMC Tournament and moved to first place in the Red Division, proving their resilience and determination against tough opponents and rivals.
Play Unified dunks on competition
The Play Unified basketball team has racked up wins so far this season. They currently hold a record of 6-1, including four double-digit wins.


Fire on the ice
The Ice Hockey team got off to an incredible 8-4-2 start, and they currently stand in second place at 5-2 in the GMC, behind only St. Joseph.
Knights clip Falcon’s wings
On Tuesday, January 8, the boys basketball team made history, beating St. Joseph for the first time since 2019 by a score of 71-52. Senior Krish Patel lead the team with 24 total points.

The boys soccer team fought hard right to the end of the season. In the GMC Tournament, they went into double overtime and eight rounds of shootouts with top-seeded South Brunswick before upsetting Franklin in the NJSIAA Tournament.


Winter Sports Preview: Bowling
Coming off a surprise run to the NJSIAA CJG4 Finals, the boys bowling team will look to build on last year’s late-season success.. The girls, who dominated to a 20-3 record last year, will look to rebuild around the two returning contributors from last year.

The football team finished the season, 6-4, second in the “National Gold” division, behind only Piscataway whom they lost to by one point.


Field hockey passes expectations
The field hockey team’s season came to a close with a 13-7 record. The team returned to the competitive GMC Red Division and placed second during the regular season.
Volleyball wins Central Jersey Group IV Championship
On November 12, the girls varsity volleyball team won the Central Jersey Group IV Championship against number one seed Hunterdon Central. The girls dominated the game, winning 2-1.


Cross Country finishes strong at Sectionals
On Saturday, November 2, the girls and boys cross country teams competed at the NJSIAA Sectionals. The girls placed fifth overall, leading them to Group Championships, and the boys placed sixth.
Seniors shoot to GMC finals
The varsity girls soccer team won the first three rounds of the GMC tournament but lost in the finals against Monroe in a close 1-0 match.


Vaughan breaks school scoring record
Junior Laila Vaughan scored her 73rd goal to break the school record for field hockey goals scored. The three-year varsity starter persevered through injury to hit this milestone.
GMC Sportsmanship winners send six to Sectionals
Despite the gymnastics team’s disappointing 2-6 record this season, the girls marked several outstanding achievements, and six athletes still have the opportunity to show their strength and skills at the NJSIAA State Sectionals this weekend.

The girls’ volleyball team finished the regular season in first place in the competitive GMC Red Division with an 18-5 record. NJ.com now ranks the Knights as the number 17 team in New Jersey.
